Extend the power of ServiceM8 to how you communicate and work with other small businesses and contractors

The release of ServiceM8 4.0 last year also saw the launch of ServiceM8 Network, a powerful add-on which allows ServiceM8 users to allocate jobs to other small businesses and contractors, even if they don’t use ServiceM8.

Network enables you to send quote requests and work orders to another business in the form of a ‘Network Request’. If the other business uses ServiceM8, the request will arrive in their ServiceM8 Inbox, ready to be converted to a job in their ServiceM8 account.

If the other business doesn’t use ServiceM8, they’ll be emailed a link which allows them to view the job details and complete job requirements through any modern web browser (such as Safari, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox) on their smartphone, tablet or computer.

Until now, the benefits of using ServiceM8 have been largely limited to the user’s own business ecosystem, and subcontracting work to other businesses has meant reverting back to inefficient systems and losing control.

ServiceM8 Network enables external businesses to work with your business as easily as your own staff, extending the benefits of ServiceM8 to how you manage subcontracted work:

Ease of use
Sending work to other businesses is as easy as sending an email, and the web-based job card is simple to use and easy to learn. Furthermore, you’re not forcing the other business to download an app or create an account.

Quality assurance
You can provide all the job details and set clear job requirements, ensuring the work is done to the same high standards as your own business.

Visibility
You’ll maintain complete visibility on the status of a job, with automated updates as the contractor accepts a job, completes job requirements, uploads files or photos, and marks the job as complete.

Streamlined communication and job management
You’ll have a cloud-based, efficient and structured system of communicating and working with other businesses and contractors. You can use ServiceM8 Network to manage all of your contractors, even if some of them don’t use ServiceM8.

Cost effective

  • The ServiceM8 Network add-on is free.
  • Sending Network Requests to other businesses and contractors is free.
  • Non-ServiceM8 users receive the web-based Network Requests for free.
  • Existing ServiceM8 users are charged 1 Job Credit when accepting Network Requests.
